SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 12 2006 - DSL Extreme, a Los Angeles-based provider of high-speed and traditional Internet services, has expanded
its coverage to include the Qwest DSL network in its growing residential and business broadband platform. As of October 1st, DSL Extreme's Qwest
coverage area, ranging from speeds of 256Kbs to 7Mps, now includes Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico,
North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The expansion helps DSL Extreme offer a highly competitive stand-alone
broadband solution to customers without requiring traditional residential telephone services. DSL Extreme will also continue to offer hosting, dedicated
connections, dial-up access, email, and exchange hosting to customers throughout the country.
"Adding Qwest services to our network gives us a quick fourteen state expansion and competitive DSL access product for potential new customers in
those territories," said Jim Murphy, DSL Extreme President. IKANO Communications, a leading provider of private-label Internet services, recently
acquired the operations of DSL Extreme. "IKANO's network infrastructure and strong relationship with Qwest meshed well with our existing network and
DSL provisioning system. The platform allows us to expand our retail and wholesale business simultaneously."
Since the acquisition, IKANO has leveraged DSL Extreme to expand coverage and build additional network relationships that will allow its existing
customer base to benefit from the acquired solutions. "The new growth of our DSL network is part of IKANO's present strategy to ramp wholesale DSL
services across the country while continuing to service our existing dial footprint," said George Naspo, IKANO CEO. "Our company will keep on the
expansion push in order to provide our customers with even larger consolidated networks at reduced rates." IKANO's recently upgraded wholesale
DSL services, restructured pricing, and expanded territory with Bell Canada will be announced at the upcoming tradeshow ISPCON, taking place
November 7-9 in Santa Clara, California.
