Physical DSL Setup
This article will outline how to physically connect your DSL modem to your computer. After you sign up for DSL service a DSL modem, 3 ADSL microfilters and a line splitter will be shipped to you. These small ADSL microfilters must be installed on all telephones on the same line as the DSL modem. This means that there needs to be a DSL filter on any telephone, Tivo, security system or any device that shares the same telephone number as the DSL modem. Once this is done Plug the provided phone cable into the back of the DSL modem and plug the other end directly into the wall jack if possible. If it is not possible to plug the cable directly into the wall jack you may use a splitter. Make sure that the splitter is plugged directly into the jack and that one side of the splitter has a filter and a phone and that the other side goes directly to the modem with no filter.

Next you will need to plug the provided Ethernet cable into the back of the DSL modem. The Ethernet cable looks a lot like a double wide phone jack. Plug this into the Ethernet jack on the back of the modem (normally labeled LAN or Ethernet, plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet jack on the back of your computer. If you are using a router plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN or Internet port on the back of the router. All you need to do at this point is plug the power cable in and switch on the modem.
You have now successfully setup your physical connection. Now you will need to configure the computer for the connection. You will have to click the above link and then log into your account and this will bring up the setup instructions.
